GRAMMY® nominated pianist/vocalist, Judy Carmichael brings the joy of classic swing music to GLAZER HALL with her signature stride piano and sparkling stage presence. Count Basie famously nicknamed Judy “Stride,” a nod to her mastery of the style which she delivers with warmth, wit, and effortless charm.
Judy’s been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, Entertainment Tonight, CBS’ Sunday Morning, CNN’s Business Unusual, numerous radio and TV shows across the globe, and her weekly radio show Jazz Inspired is in its 27th year on NPR stations and can be heard on all podcast platforms. She is included in The Encyclopedia of Jazz, Madame Jazz: Contemporary Women Instrumentalists, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry in America, “Who’s Who in American Woman, American Women in Jazz, Who’s Who in the World, as well as the Encyclopedia of Jazz and was the first woman jazz pianist to be honored as a Steinway Artist.
