Shorty made his Jazz Fest debut at just four years old and was leading his own brass band by six. Since then, he has performed on stages ranging from the White House and Madison Square Garden to the Super Bowl, toured with artists including Jeff Beck and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and collaborated with Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Jon Batiste and many more.

Beyond his music, Shorty is a passionate advocate for youth music education through The Trombone Shorty Foundation.
