About

The legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band—an enduring, electrifying force and the soul of New Orleans music for over 60 years—brings the heartbeat of the Crescent City to every stage it graces. This season, that spirit arrives at GLAZER HALL. More than a preservation act, this iconic ensemble is a living testament to the past, present, and future of New Orleans jazz—honoring tradition while fearlessly pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Their sound, rooted in history yet always evolving, has captivated audiences around the globe. The band’s acclaimed album So It Is draws from the rich Afro-Cuban heritage of New Orleans, the revolutionary rhythms of Fela Kuti, and the spiritual fire of jazz greats like Pharoah Sanders and John Coltrane. The result: a fresh, bold reimagining of what New Orleans music can be.

They’ve lit up stages from Coachella to Newport, performing alongside legends like Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, and the Grateful Dead, as well as modern icons including Beck, Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket, and The Black Keys.

A Preservation Hall Jazz Band performance is more than a concert—it’s a celebration. It’s joy, improvisation, and community, pulsing with the timeless energy of New Orleans itself!
