A beloved classic returns to the big screen at GLAZER HALL! The 1964 musical, Mary Poppins, Directed by Robert Stevenson and produced by Walt Disney, with songs written and composed by the Sherman Brothers. Based on P. L. Travers’s book series Mary Poppins, the film, which combines live-action and animation, stars Julie Andrews, in her feature film debut, as Mary Poppins, who visits a dysfunctional family in London and employs her unique brand of lifestyle to improve the family’s dynamic. Mary Poppins is a a magical, “practically perfect” nanny teaches imagination, love, and the importance of family through fantastical adventures and memorable songs like “A Spoonful of Sugar” and “Super-cali-fragil-istic-expi-ali-docious”. The exceptional Dick Van Dyke, David Tomlinson, and Glynis Johns are featured in supporting roles. The film was shot entirely at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, using painted London background scenes.

Once a month GLAZER HALL will present a film that will empower and inspire young audiences by telling stories that resonate with them. Each month we will present two screenings of the film- A 9:30am Sensory Friendly Film: designed to be more comfortable for individuals with sensory sensitivities or autism, by reducing the audio and dimming lights, rather than turning them off completely and a 12:30pm traditional screening.
