About

Presented by The Baker Institute for Children with Hearing Loss

Witness the breathtaking moments when children with profound hearing loss hear sound for the very first time.

Eyes widen.

Breath catches.

The world stands still.

And then—a smile. The kind that tells you everything has changed.

The Listen to Me Documentary takes audiences inside these intimate, life-altering moments, following children and families at the very beginning of their hearing journey. Through powerful real-life stories, the film explores how early access to hearing healthcare—including cochlear implants and family-centered support—can transform a child’s ability to listen, speak, learn, and connect.
More than a film, Listen to Me is a moving portrait of hope, innovation, and global collaboration, shining a light on the families, clinicians, and advocates working to ensure every child—no matter where they are born—has the opportunity to hear and thrive.

This is more than a film.

It’s a story of first sounds, fierce hope, and the power of what becomes possible when children are given the chance to hear—and to be heard.
“This film demonstrates the importance of access to sound, the hope resulting from empowering families, and how technology can support clinicians and communities worldwide.” – Jan Larky, Audiologist, Stanford Medicine
